Japanese Culture Fair 2019

Another commission done for Lanka Comic Con, in their joint organization of a Japanese cultural fair with the local Japanese Embassy.

For this piece, I used Edo period paintings as my main source of inspiration. And here we have the LCC mascot as a ronin, with cultural Sri Lankan styled batik robes.
The masks hung across the katana depict both our cultures demons, the "Yaka" and the "Oni" respectively.
